Dallas excited to seal Walsall move

Andy Dallas has agreed to join Walsall on July 1 on the expiry of his contract with Barnsley, GSW are delighted to report.

The Scottish striker will sign an initial two-year agreement with the Saddlers and will be hoping to pick up in front of goal where he left off last season.

He scored 17 National League goals in a loan spell with Southend United, helping them to secure a play-off place and also enjoy Wembley glory with victory in the FA Trophy.

Speaking to Walsall’s official website, Andy simply could not hide his excitement about his switch to the West Midlands club.

I’m delighted to be here. I’ve been speaking to the club for a few weeks now and was always confident in wanting to get it done. As soon as I got back from my holiday I couldn’t wait to get along to the stadium and get it done.

From my initial conversations with the manager, selling me the project and what he wants from me I just felt that I could come and be a part of it which I’m looking forward to doing.

I’m a striker that can get in behind, link up play and it goes without saying that I like to score goals as every striker does.

Andy joins Walsall with the very best wishes of everyone at GSW and we look forward to continuing to support him as he takes the next step in his career.
