The ticketing specialist helping football clubs grow revenues at every level of the game

A senior executive with more than 25 years of ticketing and commercial operations experience is spearheading GSW’s drive to help partner clubs increase ticket revenues across the English football pyramid.

Brandon Furse played pivotal roles in the ticket operations at Nottingham Forest and Derby County before spending four years as Commercial Director at a world-leading global ticketing platform. As GSW’s Senior Vice President of Operations, he is now applying that experience at clubs from the National League to the Premier League.

AFC Bournemouth, Sunderland and Blackpool are among the clubs to have seen their ticket and hospitality revenues significantly increase through exclusive commercial partnerships with GSW.

Brandon explains his approach:

Clubs have asked us to look at how they can increase their ticket revenues. Bournemouth, for example, were selling out home games but were keen to look at ways they could increase revenue in the short and long-term ways from not just general ticket sales but hospitality sales too.

We embedded ourselves within the club, analysed their ticket prices, consulted with supporter groups and club representatives, and brought a fresh perspective to what they were offering fans.

It wasn’t about price increases – more just a few tweaks here and there and bringing consistency to ticket prices across the stadium, so that someone in one stand wasn’t paying more than supporters in another stand who had exactly the same view of the game.

A similar approach at Blackpool drove a significant upturn in ticket revenue. At Sunderland, GSW went further still – overseeing the successful introduction of digital ticketing, leading a restructure of the stadium ticket sales operation, and ultimately managing the transition to SeatGeek’s enterprise platform ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.

Sam Rush, GSW’s CEO, said:

Brandon is a classic example of what we look for at GSW. He has operated at the highest level inside leading sporting organizations, and he brings that experience to bear for the clubs we work with. The results speak for themselves.
