GSW track and field stars heading for Commonwealth Games

GSW track and field athletes will be taking centre stage at the Commonwealth Games which get underway in Glasgow today.

Josh Faulds, Jake Minshull, Didi Okoh, Ella Rush (pictured) and Shida Leni will be flying the flag for their respective nations – as well as GSW – in Scotland.

Josh and Jake will, in fact, be going head to head as they will be representing Team England in the 400m hurdles event.

Didi is normally seen competing in the T63 100m but in Glasgow she will be making her Commonwealth Games debut for Team England in the para discus event.

Ella, meanwhile, will also be making her Games debut, representing Gibraltar in the heptathlon, whilst Uganda’s Shida will be chasing success in the 400m.
