GSW’s Wilmot extends Potters stay
GSW were delighted to assist client Ben Wilmot in extending his stay at Stoke City.
The 25-year-old central defender, who has spent the last five years of his career with the Potteries club, has signed a new three-year contract ahead of 2026/27 Championship season.
Ben has been a long-term client of Mark Gottlieb, GSW’s Executive Vice President, Global Football, FA Registered & FIFA Licensed Football Agent.
Mark has represented him since his early days as a Stevenage player, followed by spells at Watford and Swansea before he secured a move to Stoke in 2021.
Ben has since made almost 200 appearances for the Potters, was named their 2022/23 Player of the Year and was last season appointed club captain.
He told Stoke’s official website:
I’ve seen how much the Club has changed over the last year. It’s heading in the right direction.
“We’ve brought in some good people over the summer, both players and members of staff, who’ve changed the place for the better.
“This club is waiting for us to perform on the pitch.
“It’s got everything; the building, the infrastructure. I think we’re in a good position now.
“Hopefully we can turn that into good results on the pitch and get this club back to where it belongs.
All at GSW are delighted for Ben and look forward to offering him support and guidance as his career continues to flourish.
